SL175 is our tallest snap lock: a 1¾″ clipped seam over 16″ of coverage, formed from 24ga Galvalume or .032 aluminum and locked together by hand — no field seaming machine, no exposed screws.

The extra seam height buys two things on Florida houses: a deeper shadow line that reads properly on large hip roofs, and more water carrying height on long runs, where a 1½″ seam starts to look shallow at the eave. It belongs on residential and light commercial roofs at 3:12 and steeper.

It is not the right panel everywhere. On very low slopes, mechanical seam is the right call — see M150. And if the budget is the deciding factor over the look, SLNS150 gets you a similar shadow line with nail-strip fastening.
